We’re on our journey, living our optimal life, moment for moment: based on us uncovering our life purpose.

We’ve made the shift to living our life purpose. What now? What typically happens after the shift?

Let’s take a closer look.

Keeping in mind before the shift, our lives were guided by our circumstances and by our fear of the possible consequences.

This is not the case anymore. We’re the source of our lives. We are free to choose. We are living by our choices! We are responsible for our lives. We are accountable for our lives. We live spontaneously.

We’ve stopped our previous behaviour as we shifted.

A void appears seeing as we no longer dance to the tune of our circumstances. We no longer dance to the tune of our fear of the possible consequences.

What now? What do we do with the void?

Interestingly, we do nothing other than the things we dreamed of doing previously.

This needs clarifying though.

We usually dream of things we want to do. Like: Going on a trip; an overseas trip; an extended trip; meeting a lovely partner; having money to burn; having a fancy car or house or clothing. Having designer this, designer that.

Let’s take a closer look.

What do the above-mentioned things have in common?

Those all have specific underlying feelings: Feelings of being carefree; of being unhampered; feelings of contentment; of freedom; of being at peace. Feelings of: having security and of being relaxed; of being cool; of being popular; of having status.

Point is: Those are feelings that we seek, that we desire and yearn for. Before shifting, we mistakenly looked for those externally. Part of making the shift is realizing that we can’t get those externally. Those already exist in us.

Doing those things is not what we’re now after. We’ll still take breaks, still go on trips. Drive the car of our choice. Stay in a house of our choice. After shifting to living our purpose, we’ll not do those for the previously mentioned reasons though. Instead, only to, say, recuperate; to relax. While living within our means. And so forth.

Now that we realize there are only unsustainable short term benefits in seeking external value, we stop. Instead we do things because we exude those values through what we do, incidentally, automatically. Those are values are present, automatically in the absence of our fear.
Our lives are thus turned around after our shift. In short, we do not seek meaning, instead we live our meaning. As mentioned, automatically, due to the absence of our fear. We live with inner peace. We are content.

How do we make the shift initially?

Firstly, acknowledge that we want to shift, even though we don’t know how.

Acknowledge further that we look externally for values that exist internally. And recognize it is impossible to find those values externally.

Acknowledge further we recognize after shifting to living our purpose that we exude those values automatically due to the absence of our fear.

Acknowledge further that we wish to live with continuous inner peace and contentment.
